Ich habe nur eine einzige je gefunden und zwar beim Düsseldorfer Daft-Treffen 2000 bei Frau Schmidt und sofort erworben.
Inzwischen hörte ich, dass der Künstler von R.Barbi einst in die Szene eingeführt wurde. Eine Adresse finde ich nicht.
Die Pfeifen sind von guter, eher hoher Qualität:
Die Klassifizierung ist den Schachfiguren nachempfunden:
1. King (ab 1000 US $)
2. Queen EE (ab 700 US $)
3. Queen E (ab 550 US $)
4. Queen (ab 450 US $)
5. Jack (ab 300 US $)
6. Rook dann unter 300 US $
7. Bishop
8. Knight (oft rustiziert)
Weiter äußert sich der Piepenhoeker:
"I offer Tonino Jacono in my ebay shop because I am sure that there are many pipe smokers out there who never heard from Tonino because they have never been on a website that stocks Jaconos. I sold a lot Jaconos and got feedback that Tonino´s pipes smoke best from the first bowl. He is an outstanding Italian pipe maker and his pipes are made by hand from bit to bowl. I took him in stock on recommendation of Rainer Barbi who got the 'OUTSTANDING EUROPEAN PIPE MAKER AWARD' in Los Angeles 2003. Tonino´s craftsmanship and technic are perfect. His pipes are absolutely flawless without any fillers or filled spots. His pipes cannot hold a filter. His Father in Law owned a briar mill but retired recently and the mill is closed now. But there is still enough briar for Tonino´s pipes. He does not sell briar but just uses it for his pipes. 2003 was the year of his 20th Anniversary. Over the year he selected some pipes as 'BEST 100 OF 2003'."
Vom 13. bis 15 August 2004 findet in Cuxhaven die "2. Europäische Pfeifen- und Tabakschau 2004" organisiert vom Piepenhoeker Rolf Osterndorff statt. Jacono Tonino will dort ausstellen.
